DAY 01: Cusco

We will pick you up from Cusco airport you will be transferred to your hotel. Rest of the morning free to relax and slowly acclimatize. In the afternoon pick up from your hotel for a city and nearby inca site tour in a group basis. Leaving by vehicle to Sacsayhuaman, a vast fortress built on three platforms overlooking the city of Cusco. From here we continue to Kenko, a site of worship with a large rock carved into the shape of a Puma. The road continues uphill to Pucapucara and Tambomachay, a site with Inca baths. Return to Cusco, and visit the main sites around the Plaza de Armas,the cathedral that containing more than 400 paintings in cusqueña style, Sun Temple of Koricancha inside the Santo Domingo Church. Overnight in Cusco hotel, meals on your own.

DAY 02: Cusco / Sacred Valley

Pick up from hotel to enjoy the Sacred Valley for a full day tour in group visit to the Pisac inca site and the typical market and then on to Ollantaytambo town and its arqueological sites.The town is unique in that it still preserves its original inca plan with people living in traditional canchasenclosures once occupied by the Inca elite. We will also visit the Inca ruins situated on a hilltop landscape with surrounding terracing and cyclopean rock carvings. From the hill-top there is an extraordinary view of the village below and the surrounding countryside. Return to your lodging in the Sacred Valley at the end of the day. (B. L)

DAY 03: Ollantaytambo / Km. 104 Chachabamba

Early in the morning We`ll pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to the Train Station in Ollantaytambo then we`ll board a Tourist Train with reserved seats for 1 hour and 30 minutes to the kilometer 104 start of the hike. We wil check and then we will start a soft walk into the other side of the Vilcanota river the trail heads off to the right towards the ruins of Chachabamba. After a visit in Chachabamba, we`ll continue the trail heads south and begin climbing the mountain, before entering the cloud forest. Then the trail leaves the forest and goes west while continuing the uphill hike in open grassland. After hiking in the sun for about three hours, the trail descends into a shaded forest. This is where trekkers can enjoy a beautiful waterfall. After leaving the waterfall and forest, we will arrive to the incredible ruins of Wiñaywayna.

After lunch in Wiñaywayna we continue through a cloud forest full of bromelias, orchids and fern trees. You will walk the last part of the original trail with amazing features stone steps and tambos “resting places” and climb the 60 steps before arriving to the Inti Punku or “Sun`s Gate”. From this point you will be able to contemplate and observe this marvelous Machupicchu, where you can feel an inner peace. Spend a short time for pictures and views, then we will continue downhill to the bus station,talking a bus take a bus for 30 minutes to Aguas Calientes town. Overnigth in Hotel. (B. BL. D.)

DAY 04: Machupicchu / Cusco

Early wake up and after a good breakfast, re-live the history and the mysterious world of Machupicchu and the Incas. “ magnificence” is the only word to describe the scene and Machupicchu ruins, the “ lost city of the incas. Believed to be an Inca settlement built to control the economies of neighboring communities, it is associated with being theroyal state of Pachacuti, the great Inca who sparked the expansion of the empire.where you will have your official guide ( 2- 3 Hour ) walks you through the different sectors of the hill-top citadel, with astonishing views, telling you aspects of life here that will take you back in time. Lunch is included in Machu Picchu Village. Afternoon you will board the train( approx. 1.5hrs) back to Ollantaytambo station ,where a private vehicle will be waiting to transfer you by road to Cusco(approx.2 hrs)to check in to your hotel. (B. DAY 05: Cusco / Lima / Out

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima – or any other connecting destination. (B.)
